Tears of Magdalena,
Biografy:
Tears of Magdalena is a mixter of symphonic/gothic
metal music with silver-colored opera vocal of
Magdalena Lee and crowling bass vocal of Vasstago
Archipellagus.
Tears Of Magdalena is
vision and product of one woman, Magdalena Lee.
Magdalena Lee is high
educated opera singer wiht extraordinary beautiful
and big voice with bright and dark dramatic timber
of higt mezzosoprano.
Magdalena Lee`s
talent has been noticed at the age of 3, when she
started to compose her own music.
She graduated from
music school of Leningrad like violist. (Her violin
is 300 eyes old). She performed, when she was little
child, as soloist-violist. She graduated as music teacher and choir
conductor from Music College Of Pedagogy in
S-Petersburg and continued her studies in Sibelius
Academy in Helsinki. She also studied music
producing, recording and music business law. During
all her life in Helsinki she took lessons of the
best professors and teachers of opera singing and
Master Classes of Opera all over the world: Irina
Lopnizkaya (S-Petersburg), Sona Ardomz (Rome), Yuri
Statnik (Moscow Bolshoi Theatre), Johan Tilli
(Dresden), Irina Gavrilovich (Vienna), Anna Carlson
(Finish National Opera). Magdalena Lee studied jazz
music and performed as a singer, pianist, violinist,
guitarist and bassist in different jazz styles.
Magdalena Lee has
performed vocal part in album of legend of Finish
metal music, composer and producer Timo Tolkki`s,
Age Of Aquarius. She made all compositions for Tears
Of Magdalena band wihtout any help of band members.
All Tears Of Magdalena dark lyrics was made by
Vasstago Arhipellagus.
At the beginning of
2006 Tears Of Magdalena reliased it`s first promo:
Devil (My Nightmare),
Aurora (Aurora Borealis), Vikings (The Eastway).
Magdalena Lee played,
recorded, mixed, edited and mastered all
instrumental and vocal parts. She compoused about
20-30 variations for each song. Vasstago made lyrics
and bass vocal parts.
In
2007 Tears Of Magdalena released it`s second Demo:
The Eastway, My Blood
Is My Wine, Aurora Borealis.
Extraordinary talent
musician Jaakko Viitala recorded drums, guitars and
bass.
Magdalena Lee
recorded, mixed and edited Violins, Voicals and many
thousends of Symphony Orcestra tracks.

mastered and mixed by Jakke Viitala(Crimfall)
After relising
of second Demo Vasstago Arkhipellagus made manager
job for Tears Of Mahdalena. He oranged 2 gigs for a
band and negotiated woldwide record deal with
Stygian Crypt Productions.
Magdalena Lee
did not finded permannent, suitable musisians for her band and
for that reason she deside to make only one record
deal with Italian Scarlet Records.
And so Magdalena
Lee and Vasstago had to rush to finish the songs
"Immortal Love", "In The Silence"," Mermaid" and "Cut Em
Down".
Tears Of Magdalena got to the E-major studios to record debut
Album. Sound-engineer was well-known Mr. Tero
"TeeCee" Kinnunen (Nightwish, Delain,
Indica). Album was mastered by legendary Mika
Jussila in Finvox studios.
During summer the biggest label from japan, Marquee
Avalon was interested of our music and they wanted
to release it in Japan, so Magdalena Lee composed
all bonus-song called "October Rust" of course honoring
the season of the releasing time. Finally our debut album were released in Japan and
in Europe 20.10.2008 and in Finland 07.11.2008
In the moment
Magdalena Lee is busy to recording, editing,
composing, oranging for forcoming 3 albums in her
home studio. Tears Of Magdalena band is busy to
learn new songs and practicing for gigs.
