Tears Of Magdalena Biography:

Tears Of Magdalena is "The Beauty & The Beast" Finnish symphonic metal band  founded in the end of 2005 by belarusian opera/rock vocalist, pianist, violinist, composer and producer Magdalena Lee and lyricist and vocalist Vasstago Archipelagus.

Tears Of Magdalena`s music is melodic metal and black metal music, that is based on classical music, renaissance, folk and world music. Tears Of Magdalena contains power metal and gothic elements and musicians of the band have also strong classical background. 

At the end of 2005 Magdalena Lee composed and recorded some songs and then she decided to bring more darkness to her compositions and invited  Vasstago (Vocalist and Lyricist) to work with her.

 Magdalena Lee had a lot of new ideas for songs and Vasstago had ideas for lyrics and at the end of 2006  Magdalena Lee composed and recorded in her home studio demo songs "Aurora Borealis", "The Eastway", "(My) Nightmare" and "Your Blood Is My Wine".

In 2007 Magdalena Lee and Vasstago decided to make a proper demo. Synthesizer guitars and drums were replaced to real instruments. Quite soon different labels were interested about  our music. Finally Scarlet Records offered us the contract and we chose that label and decided to accept it. And so Magdalena Lee and Vasstago had to rush to finish the songs "Immortal Love", "In The Silence"," Mermaid" and "Cut Em Down".

So we got to the E-major studios to record our debut Album. Our sound-engineer was well-known Mr. Tero "TeeCee" Kinnunen (Nightwish). Drums we recorded in Sonic Pump studios (Stratovarius).

During summer the biggest label from japan, Marquee Avalon was interested of our music and they wanted to release it in Japan, so Magdalena Lee composed bonus-song called "October Rust" of course honoring the season of the releasing time.

Finally our debut album were released in Japan and in Europe 20.10.2008 and in Finland 07.11.2008
